As many as 26,742,178 services were provided for free throughout Egypt’s governorates under the presidential healthcare campaign dubbed “100-Day Health”, as part of the “100-Million Health initiative”, within 17 days since launching the third phase of it on July 15, Health and Population Ministry said.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the 100-Day Health campaign provided 1,550,156 services on Thursday alone.
The 100-day campaign aims to intensify preventive care services (including immunizations and vaccines), as well as environmental health and food safety services while raising citizens’ awareness concerning health-related misconceptions.
The campaign offers check-ups, treatment, testing, and screening services at the state’s expense, the minister said, noting that many mobile clinics have also been deployed to public and crowded places.
These clinics cover various specializations, such as internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, ophthalmology, teeth, ear and nose, obstetrics and gynecology, and dermatology.
