New Era Education expands its portfolio of British schools with a new 60,000-square-metre campus in New Kairo

New Era Education proudly announces the launch of Uppingham New Cairo, the latest addition to its portfolio of world-class British schools in Egypt. Located in New Kairo by G Developments, this milestone project builds on the success of Uppingham Cairo in New Giza and marks a significant step in expanding premium British education across the capital.

The new campus will span over 60,000 square metres, designed as a purpose-built British independent school offering state-of-the-art academic, sports, and boarding facilities. The school is scheduled to open in 2028, with admissions beginning in 2027.

To commemorate this landmark achievement, New Era Education hosted a signing and groundbreaking ceremony at New Kairo. The event was attended by New Era board members, executives from New Giza and G Developments, and the Board of Trustees of Uppingham School UK, as well as representatives from the British Embassy in Cairo and the British Council in Egypt, highlighting the deep educational ties between the UK and Egypt.

Dr Tamer Tammam, Founder and Chairman of New Era Education, stated: “Our vision has always been to bring the finest British education to Egypt, and Uppingham New Cairo is a major milestone in this journey. Following the success of Uppingham Cairo, we are thrilled to expand to the other side of the capital, offering even more students access to an exceptional learning experience that blends heritage, innovation, and academic excellence.”

Ms Khadiga ElGammal, Vice Chairman of New Giza Developments and G Developments, commented: “Our partnership with New Era Education began in New Giza, and today, we are proud to extend it to New Kairo. Education is at the heart of thriving communities, and we are committed to providing the best environment for future generations to excel. Uppingham New Cairo will set a new benchmark for academic excellence in the region.”

Mrs Barbara Matthews, Chair of Trustees of Uppingham School UK, added: “The success of Uppingham Cairo has been exceptional, and we are excited to embark on this new chapter with Uppingham New Cairo. Our unwavering commitment to delivering an outstanding British education remains at the core of this expansion, and we look forward to supporting New Era Education in bringing Uppingham’s rich traditions and academic excellence to even more students in Egypt.”

Located within New Kairo by G Developments, Uppingham New Cairo will offer a holistic educational experience that prepares students for a global future, combining rigorous academics with a strong emphasis on character development, leadership, and creativity.

New Era Education continues to shape the future of education in Egypt, ensuring that students receive the best British schooling experience, tailored to the evolving needs of a dynamic world.
