Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir reiterated on Thursday readiness to offer all possible support to investors operating in the Egyptian market in a bid to iron out hurdles facing them and increase exports to foreign markets.
The minister gave the remarks during his meeting with a number of lawmakers in the presence of several companies investing in the market.
Talks tackled the challenges facing the industrial sector and ways of coordinating with bodies concerned to enhance competitiveness of local products.
He said the Industrial Modernisation Center (IMC) made a list of 152 available investment opportunities for industrial products that could be manufactured locally to reduce exports.
He said these products represent a good chance to companies seeking to deepen local manufacturing.
