CAIRO – Egypt’s Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir affirmed the ministry’s utmost keenness on offering all forms of support to local and foreign investments working in the Egyptian market in cooperation with different ministries and the bodies concerned in the state.
Samir pointed out to various opportunities and distinguished investment potentials in foodstuffs sector in Egypt.
The minister’s remarks came at a meeting with officials in charge of two special Saudi companies in the field of energy, water desalination and foodstuffs.
Samir said the meeting discussed the various activities of the two Saudi companies and their expansion plans in the country.
The discussions dwelt on the activities of the company working in traditional and renewable energy and water desalination, Samir said, adding the volume of its investments globally reach nearly 75 billion dollars.
It is a largest company that is investing in energy plants worldwide. The volume of the company’s investments has reached nearly two billion dollars so far in Egypt, according to him.
The minister said the meeting of the company working in producing foodstuffs reviewed its expansion plans in the Egyptian market in this vital sector in the coming phase.
He added the company is keen on promoting its presence in Egypt through expanding new foodstuffs.
Samir said the ministry is keen on attracting more Saudi investments in the Egyptian market.
