CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir met with Deputy Chairman of Perkin Elmer Mariam Victor and Director General of HVD Company Mohamed Abul Naga for talks on means of boosting joint cooperation on localizing lab and medical appliances industry.
Head of the Egypt Commercial Service (ECS) Yehia Al Wathiq Bellah and Director General of Perkin Elmer Company in the Middle East Karim Asaad and the Regional Director of the company Mervat Salim attended the meeting.
The meeting covered up means of bolstering the current cooperation between the Egyptian health sector and the two companies in supplying lab appliances, PCR tests as well as medical equipment to the Egyptian side.
The minister called for seizing the great opportunity for investment in Egypt especially in the manufacturing of lab appliances and medical equipment.
Meanwhile, Perkin Elmer’s official Mariam Victor noted to the possibility of her company’s producing lab appliances in Egypt to meet the local market needs and export to regional markets.
