CAIRO – The 109th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council of the Arab League adopted a range of important decisions related to the economic and social issues that serve the Arab joint action, announced Egypt’s Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamea.
The council in its current session came up with a number of recommendations which will contribute to promoting achievements attained as part of the Arab economic action, added Gamea, who chaired the 109th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council.
The recommendations include shedding light on the economic files that are proposed to be included in the economic and social file of the Arab League Council at the summit level in its forthcoming 31st round, she went on to say.
Regarding the follow-up committee’s proposals, an initiative to establish an Arab platform for competition was met with approval among participants, she added, noting that the move will contribute to promoting the joint Arab action.
