The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency CEO Basil Rahmi on Tuesday announced the launch of the Aziza Initiative to support mirco- small-, medium-sized enterprises owned and run by women.
The initiative will offer soft loans to women in charge of existing small-scale businesses and to women who intend to found businesses.
The initiative will also offer technical assistance, training and help in marketing for small-scale industrial and agricultural projects that can potentially compete locally and abroad.
Rahmi said the initiative is in line with state directives to support small businesses and integrate them into the formal economy, thereby qualifying for services and facilities provided by the state.
