LONDON/ CAIRO – Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Yehia Zaki said that the MoUs, signed between SCZone and world companies and consortiums for establishing industrial zones for producing the green fuel, are a result of great efforts targeted the transition into the green economy.
SCZone, in cooperation with the state agencies concerned, targets attracting larger investments in the field of the clean energy and transition into green economy, Zaki said in a speech he delivered at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), according to a statement to SCZone.
The negotiations with the consortiums are kick-start to implement the green economy projects ahead of the COP27 in November, he added.
The investments of the green hydrogen and ammonia projects could reach ten billion dollars with a production capacity of green fuel could hit five million tons annually.
