CAIRO – Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Walid Gamaleldin said the zone is a promising opportunity for Asian investments.
He said that international changes underscored the importance of having various production areas, which, he added helps SCZONE become a top-tier destination for investment expansions.
Gamaleldin’s remarks came at a meeting with a group of ambassadors of Asian countries recently, according to a statement by SCZONE.
The meeting discussed ways of boosting cooperation and investment opportunities in the zone.
The statement pointed out that the meeting took place as part of constant efforts to help the world business community learn more about SCZONE potential.
During the meeting, Gamaleldin highlighted the targeted promising investment service and industrial sectors in the zone.
He said that West Qantara industrial area has attracted many Asian investments, adding that it is seeking to strengthen certain priority sectors and stimulate further investments in them.
He also referred to the green fuel file and the strategy for localizing the automotive industry.
