Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Dr Assem el-Gazzar inaugurated Thursday the first session of the real estate conf-cum-exhibition “The Real Gate”, being held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
With the participation of 38 major real estate developers in Egypt and the Arab world, the exhibition is being held during the period from 25th to 27th of March 2021, at Egypt International Exhibition Centre, Mosheer Axis – New Cairo.
In his speech to the opening ceremony, Dr el-Gazzar said: “The major investment opportunities the exhibition present during its activities reflect the state interest in the real estate sector and the urban development”.
He added that the state plan and orientations represented by the Ministry of Housing to push the process of urban development forward are in line with the sustainable development strategy “Egypt Vision 2030 – towards reaching a new Egypt”.
“The total area of the new cities, which was added to the inhabited scheme, amounted to 7.5 per cent of the total area of the republic, meaning that the Egyptian state has managed, during the past 6 years, to double the Egyptian inhabited area from 7 per cent to 14.5 per cent being developed at present,” Gazzar said.
He noted out that this is the first national goal and one of the outputs of the National Strategic Plan for Urban Development, Egypt 2052, confirming that the inaugurations of new cities, on top of which is the New Administrative Capital, scheduled to take place in the second half of the current year, will actually be an advertisement for a modern Egypt.
The Real Gate exhibition presents 180 different projects, 40 of which are being seen for the first time, in addition to offers and payment facilities commensurate with all society strata.
The first session of the exhibition featured the honouring of the late architect and developer Hussein Sabbour.
