Makadi Heights, one of Orascom Development Holding (ODH)’s renowned and integrated cities in the Red Sea, proudly announced that it is about to throw the first international music festival in May 2022. This mega event will be curated in partnership with I Events, an Egyptian leading company in organizing regional and global events, together with The Lemon Tree & Co Hospitality.

Undoubtedly, the unprecedented organization of this international festival in Egypt, and specifically in one of Orascom Development’s prominent cities, comes as a confirmation of the conglomerate’s robust strategy that revolves around developing integrated tourism cities and turning them into a destination in which a myriad of international festivals and events would take place.

On the other hand, the conduction of such an event also comes in line with Egypt’s strategy pertinent to upholding and revitalizing various types of tourism in the Red Sea Governorate, especially the recreational one. Generally, Orascom Development is famous for impeccably organising many acclaimed sporting, artistic, and cultural events, most notably El-Gouna Film Festival, El-Gouna International Squash Championship, and the Makadi Heights Rally.

In this context, Tamer Dewidar, CEO of Makadi Heights said: “Makadi Heights is one of Orascom Development’s most promising touristic cities, as it was able to become a popular attraction for many festivals and events. This city has whatever it takes to make it stand out, starting from its privileged location, which is just 20 minutes from Hurghada International Airport, ending with its panoramic view on the shores of the Red Sea.”

Additionally, Makadi Heights is equipped with all the facilities and infrastructure necessary to make it a great spot for hosting festivals, or even sports, entertainment, and cultural events. For that exact reason, Makadi Heights is now preparing to welcome the first edition of a world music festival; an event that will imminently occur.”

With the previous being said, Dewidar also expressed his elation with Egypt’s endeavors in hosting many local, regional, and international events during the last period with regard to the indispensable enforcement of all the precautionary measures. He added that the country’s relentless exerted effort gave Makadi Heights an impetus to organize this global festival.

For his part, Amr Mansi, CEO and Founder of I Events, stated: “The organization of this festival comes as a continuation of our successful partnership with ODH, which has been spanning for more than 12 years. To further explicate, this music festival aims at attracting the top international music stars, having them give concerts in Egypt, hence enriching our music industry at large. Also, this event will contribute to discovering young talents, as well as motivating them to be creative via sharing experiences with international stars. During the festival, various seminars and workshops will be held in the presence of music experts with the aim of inciting and hyping up the event, as well as creating an attractive musical atmosphere.”
