Chairman of ” ECB PM & Consultancy office” Dr. Mohamed Abdelghany said that “The decision of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development, requiring firms and developers constructing towers over 60 metres to covenant Consultancy offices classified as House of Expertise, is an influential favorable decision, especially in light of the expansion in the number of high-rise towers, projects of an extraordinary nature compared with buildings of customary heights”
Abdelghany added that this decision is in the favor of both the project’s Owner and the Executing company, to ensure quality and safety in planning and implementing those projects.
He further commented that firms classified as “House of Expertise” have a wide experience in effective management of such Mega projects. Equipped with their experience and highly trained professionals the firms are capable to avoid the misspending of any financial resources or incurring additional costs in the project while taking into account all technical details starting from the design and till the execution process.
This includes careful and essential consideration of the design and implementation of high-rise facades and applying fire engineering standards. Given the complex nature of high-rise buildings applications of fire engineering is necessary not only in the building’s networks, but to how the building reacts in cases of fire to protect users and provide safe paths.
Abdelghany highlighted the important role of “House of Expertise” firms in avoiding delays of delivery schedules and enforcing a suitable time plan to the project as a result of errors related to lack of experience.
Abdelghany elaborated on the fact that “Consulting firms acquire “House of Expertise” certification based on the satisfaction of many requirements .” The most important on the list is high quality and excellence in projects management, design and supervising construction besides ensuring that the firm staff structure includes well experienced professionals with expansive experience in various fields.
He said that the New Administrative Capital Company decision, aims to raise quality standards for this kind of projects.
Further praising on the efforts of the NAC and the Egyptian government Abdelghany said that this is a huge step in pushing forward to commensurate with the size of the huge investments in the New Administrative Capital, which Egypt has not witnessed for decades, requiring the need for high quality criteria aligning with the international standards.
Abdelghany stated that such requisite of projects with significant height in the Egyptian building industry aligns with the political keenness for implementing Egypt’s new capital with international standards.
This decision plays a vital role in the execution projects with sustainable manner and global quality align with the size and importance of this national project(The New Administrative Capital).
