Better Home for Real Estate Investment has officially completed the handover of its Midtown Solo project to its clients in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).
The announcement came during a special site visit attended by Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman of ACUD, and Dr. Eng. Ahmed Fahmy, Managing Director of ACUD. The visit was to inspect the “Midtown Solo” project — Better Home’s second in the Capital after the success of “Midtown Villa”, its inaugural venture there.
The celebration marked the start of life within the Midtown Solo community, with the presence of senior executives from ACUD, Better Home, and members of the press. Eng. Abbas praised the company’s performance and its impressive track record, acknowledging Better Home as one of the first developers to believe in and invest in the NAC vision since its inception.
During the press briefing, Abbas emphasised that ACUD always strives to remove obstacles for committed developers. He stressed the unified effort toward completing this national megaproject — one of the landmark initiatives of the “New Republic” launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
He added that Midtown Solo, with its exceptional design and execution, stands as a clear testament to the progress being made in the Capital. The project consists solely of standalone villas with comprehensive services, reflecting the high-end customer base it caters to. He also noted that ACUD has already delivered about 95% of utilities in Phase One, with certain development conditions required before final service connections.
Abbas highlighted that roadworks and landscaping in R7 are progressing swiftly, divided into phases to ensure timely completion.
Dr. Eng. Ahmed Fahmy, Managing Director of ACUD, expressed his admiration for the tangible progress made in the Midtown Solo project, noting that the NAC is now truly livable. He commended Better Home’s professionalism, pointing out the company’s regulatory compliance, timely deliveries, and engineering excellence.
Fahmy also noted that this is the second Better Home project to be delivered after Midtown Villa, expressing satisfaction at the presence of such high-quality developments in the Capital. He revealed that ACUD has provided 4–5 facilitation packages to serious developers, helping unlock significant collections, licensing approvals, and resolving issues for several struggling companies.
He emphasized that Better Home was among the first to invest heavily in the NAC, believing in its potential from the outset, and that the NAC remains a key magnet for investment. He disclosed that 15 days prior, ACUD had launched an online offering of plots in R8, where demand exceeded supply by three times. The results of the offer would be announced soon after Eid al-Adha, based on technical and financial qualifications.
Ashraf Adel, General Manager of Better Home, expressed his gratitude to Eng. Khaled Abbas for his visit and continued support, describing it as a source of motivation for all developers working in the NAC. He praised ACUD’s crucial role in backing developers and helping overcome all hurdles.
Adel mentioned that Better Home was the first private developer to obtain land in the NAC when it was just a vision. Midtown Solo has since become a landmark, being the only fully villa-based project in the Capital, consisting of 390 standalone villas over 66 feddans, strategically located on South Bin Zayed Axis, adjacent to the Cathedral and the Green River—key features of the city.
He emphasized the project’s low-density design, with 80% of the land allocated to landscaping, greenery, and lagoons, and only 20% to buildings, offering a healthy and tranquil living environment. The project includes a clubhouse, swimming pools, restaurants, cafes, and pharmacies, significantly enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Adel confirmed that the project achieved tremendous success, having sold out in record time, reflecting the strong trust clients place in Better Home. The development also features a commercial zone of 30,000 sqm, comprising 14 standalone buildings, each with a ground floor, two upper floors, a rooftop, and private basements. Building spaces start from 1,250 sqm, with 1,100 sqm of outdoor area and 940 sqm of basement space.
The commercial zone adopts the open “strip mall” design, with direct road access, catering to both residents and passersby. It includes restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, and international brands, creating a comprehensive commercial and leisure destination.
In conclusion, Ashraf Adel thanked Eng. Abbas for his instrumental role in supporting private sector growth in the Capital through continuous follow-up and commitment to resolving developer challenges. He affirmed Better Home’s ongoing commitment to growth and its intention to launch new projects within the Capital to continue contributing to its development.
