Al Alamia for Furniture marked its 50th anniversary in Egypt, attributing its success to its ambitious strategies and profound market experience. The company enjoys tremendous success by offering high-quality products that meet all tastes, needs, and budgets throughout its journey. It also earned the trust of many government agencies.
Attending the celebration was Eng. Ahmed Saleh, Al Alamia Furniture, and Dar Al Alamia Developments deputy chairman.
Saleh said in his keynote speech: “Egypt has abundant human wealth and natural resources. That has allowed it to grow its economy at a fast pace over the years. We at Al Alamia fully support the government’s continuous efforts to grow the national economy by offering a diverse portfolio of products and services that use the latest technologies and quality-control systems. We are doing our part in making Egypt’s economy sustainable by adopting the latest technologies in all our operations.”
The Deputy Chairman for Al Alamia for Furniture and Dar Al Alamia Developments added: “Today, we celebrate 50 years since Al Alamia for Furniture started its operations. Our ethos always revolved around offering innovative, high-quality products that meet individuals’ and government offices’ tastes, needs, and budgets. We are also an established furniture exporter to Arab and European nations.”
He added: “Our vision over those 50 years rests on two pillars. The first is having a large local market share of wood-based furniture and secure a solid footing in European countries. To that end, we are upgrading our manufacturing equipment to increase production to meet rising demand while keeping the hand-made furniture offerings. We are also conducting extensive market research to understand the latest furniture design trends and local market needs. We are also working hard to diversify and improve our suppliers.”
Throughout Al Alamia Furniture’s 50 years in Egypt, the company created many indirect job opportunities for youths by increasing demand from local suppliers to meet increasing sales. As a result, suppliers hired and trained more workers to meet Al Alamia Furniture’s requirements. The company also contracted agents outside Egypt to increase the firm’s sales and secure access to innovative furniture designs and the latest marketing ideas.
Over its 50 years in Egypt, Al Alamia Furniture established strong ties with ministries and government agencies. The company served over 50,000 clients until now.

Dal Al Alamia Developments’ projects include constructing four collages over 60,000 square metres in Al Galala University; the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation’s new headquarters; four administrative buildings; and Banque Misr’s new 70,000 square-metre main office building in the New Administrative Capital. The company also built 100 villas in R1 and R2 neighbourhoods in the new capital. In addition, under construction are four faculty buildings in the Japanese University in Borg El Arab, Qena University, and New Suez Canal University.
Dar Al Alamia Developments is a subsidiary of Al Alamia. Its three-year plan includes investing LE5 billion in east Cairo.
