CAIRO – Egypt’s Housing Minister Sherif El Sherbini said Ras El-Hekma project comes as part of Egypt’s efforts to develop the North Coast in order to place it on global tourism map.

Such development projects will achieve substantial benefits for local residents, opening new avenues for development, investment, and creating thousands of job opportunities, he said.

Sherbini made these remarks during his visit to New Ras Hekma City to oversee preparations for upcoming developmental and investment projects.

He was accompanied by officials from various government bodies and local leaders.

The minister discussed efforts to compensate owners of land plots who are impacted by the project and provide them with other lands in other areas based on what has been agreed upon with local residents over the past period.

He also reviewed progress on road construction and utilities, stressing the importance of expediting necessary action for project commencement.
