CAIRO – Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said the public treasury allocated nearly EGP 3 billion for supporting the salaries of workers in the private funds and accounts across different governorates in the current fiscal year (FY) 2023/2024.
He added that some EGP 715 million was designated to disburse dues of those employees during the fourth quarter of this fiscal year, according to a statement released by the Finance Ministry.
Maait stated that his ministry follows up on paying the monthly salaries of those workers to identify any needs in accordance with the recent wage increases.
