CAIRO – Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli followed up on the implementation of the governance mechanism of trading, producing and distributing agricultural fertilizers.
This came during Madbouli’s meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaaeldin Farouk, Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Shemi, Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawy and Board Chairman of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) Ibrahim Mekky.
Farouk reviewed the measures taken by his ministry that aim at supporting the fertilizers governance mechanism to contribute to delivering support to those who deserve.
The mechanism aims at integration with the system of “farmer card” which contributes to delivering support to the farmers who deserve, he said.
There is continuous coordination between the ministries of agriculture, petroleum and public business sector to promote cooperation in supporting the industry of fertilizers, he said.
Meanwhile, Badawy asserted keenness on encouraging and expanding fertilizers industry in light of Egypt’s potentials to succeed in this field, meet the needs of the local market and increase the exports.
Also, Shemi pointed out to the efforts exerted by his ministry to support the fertilizers factories, asserting providing the necessary support to these factories to complete the efforts of other ministers concerned, meet the needs of the market and provide fertilizers.
