ADMINISTRATIVE CAPITAL, Egypt – The Planning and International Cooperation Ministry hosted the coordinating technical meetings of the results groups of the Strategic Framework with the UN with the participation of national bodies concerned.
The meeting comes in light of the ministry’s chairmanship of the Joint Steering Committee between Egypt and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF).
The coordinating meetings aim at appraising the activities implemented by Egypt in cooperation with the specialized United Nations agencies in addition to shedding light on the joint working plans for 2024.
The meetings were attended by representatives of the health and social solidarity ministries as well as heads of the results groups concerned with enhancing human capital.
The UNSDCF is an instrument that provides guidance and a strategic direction to achieve sustainable development. Focusing on five primary development pillars which are people, planet, prosperity, governance in addition to women and girls, the UNSDCF has adapted these pillars into all aspects of the partnership as development would not be achieved without recognizing their importance and value.
