CAIRO – Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, held talks with Martina Opizzi, Head of North Africa and the Levant at Italy’s Eni, to discuss plans for enhancing oil and gas production.

The meeting reviewed Eni’s activities across its concessions in Egypt, including the Mediterranean, Western Desert, Delta, and Sinai, and explored future steps to increase reserves and production.

Badawi praised the longstanding partnership with Eni, which spans over 70 years, emphasizing the company’s pivotal role as Egypt’s largest energy investor.

He highlighted recent progress in joint efforts, which have accelerated Eni’s operations and created momentum for further growth in the coming year.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Egypt’s energy sector, focusing on strategic initiatives to develop the country’s oil and gas resources and ensure sustainable growth.
