Assistant Egypt’s Minister of Finance for Tax Authority Affairs Reda Abdel Qader said that the second sub-stage of the eighth and last phase of e-invoicing will start on October 15.
This stage will include companies registered in the governorates of Sharqiya, Gharbia, Kafr El Sheikh, Menoufia and Damietta.
These companies should comply with applying the electronic invoicing system and issuing tax e-invoices that prove the commercial transactions concluded between persons for the sale of goods and services.
In a statement on Tuesday, Abdel Qader said that the first sub-stage of the eighth phase of implementing e-invoicing system started on September 15, adding that this stage began in Alexandria, Beheira and Marsa Matrouh governorates.
He also called on all taxpayers to promptly take all necessary measures to join the e-invoicing system.
He made it clear that as of April 1, 2023, only e-invoice will be the only document that will be accepted by the Tax Authority to process all VAT refunds and deductions.
