The National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) signed on Sunday a strategic partnership with Fixed Egypt for Digital Solutions and Information Security (FEDIS) to digitalise the system of monitoring the production and circulation of food in the local market to facilitate and accelerate regulatory processes and keep pace with the requirements of the digital age.
This project comes within NFSA’s strategic plan to enhance the measures of registration, monitoring, inspection, and issuing a certificate of authenticity for exports through a digital platform.
The platform will work on improving the internal work and provide an integrated portal for all parties involved in the food production and circulation chain to raise awareness of the importance of food safety.
Decision makers will be able to get detailed reports that support strategic plans based on accordance with statistics and facts.
NFSA added that the project will have an impact on the local market and export growth.
FEDIS expressed its commitment to provide the best technological solutions.
It stressed that partnership is a model of success between the private and public sectors to achieve sustainable goals in the field of food.
NFSA looks forward to a safe and innovative future through using the platform to increase society’s awareness of food safety.
