The National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) launched its electronic app “Standardised Registration Portal” to facilitate the registration of food facilities via smartphones.
Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA), Dr Tareq el-Houby, said that the app is an integrated electronic system aimed at facilitating the registration of food facilities of all kinds.
He added that the app came to keep in touch with the digital transformation. “It is an important step to strengthen and facilitate channels of communication with food owners in order to facilitate the registration of their facilities through their smartphones, thereby reducing the time and effort to complete the registration process effectively and expeditiously,” el-Houby said.
“This app is one of the effective tools of NFSA and is in line with Egypt’s strategy in the digital transformation of procedures,” he stressed.
El-Houby reviewed the features of the portal, such as an administrative integration between different departments, where the portal currently has 12 departments working together to ensure that all registration applications are organised and received.
As well as multiple registration purposes, saving time through digitisation of procedures, ease of use.
The portal is simple and helps users to reduce errors and speed up application submissions.
“Standardised Registration Portal” can be downloaded on smartphones with ease. The application includes an audio recording showing how the owners of various food facilities deal with and complete the registration process of their facilities step by step.
