Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el-Wazir attended on Tuesday the signing ceremony of a contract for the financing, design, construction, and maintenance of a dry port and logistics area in 10th Ramadan City.
This partnership involves the Egyptian Ministry of Transport and Swiss-based company Medlog.
Sayed Metwally, head of the General Authority for Land and Dry Ports, and Medlog’s CEO, Domenico Zanon, signed the contract. The contract aligns with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s vision to make Egypt a regional transport and logistics hub.
The new dry port in 10thof Ramadan City will support Egypt’s logistics network by linking industrial, agricultural, and mining areas to seaports.
It is a key component of the integrated international logistics corridor connecting Sokhna and Alexandria ports.
This project aims to reduce port congestion, improve logistics services, and lower transportation costs, benefiting both industrial zones and trade in Cairo.
