TANTA, Egypt- Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Neveen Gamea has stressed that the government is very much interested in the spinning and weaving sector and the comprehensive development of this vital industry.
Egypt enjoys great competitive advantages that can help the country upgrade its exports to foreign markets and generate more job opportunities for youth, said Gamea during an inspection tour of the industrial complex in El Mahalla El Kubra city which is a major center of Egypt’s textile industry and a number of factories in Gharbia Governorate in the middle Nile River delta, Lower Egypt.
She said her ministry seeks to deepen local manufacturing activities and modernize technologies used in different industries to match global developments.
The ministry also acts to establish more integrated industrial complexes, she said, adding it is keen to expand efforts in implementation of a presidential initiative for supporting small and medium-sized industries.
