Mercedes-Benz officially presents the new generation C-Class in Egypt. The highly admirable C-Class is one of the company’s highest-volume model series and it is now electrified throughout thanks to 48-volt technology and integrated starter-generator, setting standards with respect to sustainability.

At launch, the exceptionally popular C-Class will be presented in three different models, the C180 AVANTGARDE Plus, C180 Sport and C200 Sport. Among the new design elements and technical refinements featured in the all new C-Class are the completely novel sensual exterior and interior design, a new 1.5 litre engine fitted in all three models, a 12.3-inch driver display and an 11.9-inch high-resolution central display slightly tilted towards the driver, a redesigned Multifunction sports steering wheel, DIGITAL Head lights and MBUX Navigation Plus.

Exterior design: sensual purity with a sporty and elegant theme

The all new C-Class already looks to be in motion at a standstill with its dynamic proportions. The sporty bonnet with power domes accentuates this urge of forward motion. Other features producing the sporty, superior appearance include the wide track and the flush 18-inch wheels. All models feature a central star, with the design and character of the radiator grille differing in the details. The AVANTGARDE line delivers an unmistakable elegant look. While, the distinguishing feature of the Sport line is the AMG design elements such as the diamond grille with the star design in chrome and AMG body kit.

Interior design: sporty touches thanks to the driver-centered design

The new C-Class goes even further with respect to modern luxury. The interior adopts highlights from the new S-Class, adding a sporty touch. The dashboard and central display are slightly tilted towards the driver.

Additionally, the door panels and sport seats are all newly designed. High quality materials and finish throughout the cabin complement the even more digital and intelligent interior featuring a 12.3-inch driver display and an 11.9-inch central display. Like the new S-Class, the new C-Class is equipped with the second generation of MBUX; brilliant images on the LCD screens make it easy to control vehicle and comfort functions. The C-Class is also equipped with electric seats with memory function, panoramic sliding sunroof, advanced ambient lighting, wireless charging for mobile devices, and red seat belts exclusively for the C200 Sport.

In addition to turbocharging, the engines now have an integrated starter-generator (ISG) enabled by a 48-volt electrical system for intelligent assistance and outstanding power delivery, while making significant fuel savings aided by the fitted 9G-TRONIC transmission. The C180 is equipped with a 1.5 litre engine producing 170 hp, allowing a swift sprint from 0-100kph in 8.6 seconds. The C200 is also equipped with a 1.5 litre engine producing 204 hp, enough to pull the car from 0-100kph in a rapid 7.3 seconds.
