Mercedes-Benz Egypt announced the appointment of Gerd Bitterlich as its new President & CEO, succeeding Thomas Zorn after his prestigious journey of 5 successful years. In this context, National Automotive Company (NATCO) congratulated Bitterlich on his new position, expressing the shareholders’ contentment to continue the fruitful partnership with Mercedes-Benz Egypt under Bitterlich’s leadership.
On his part, Yasser Saleh, CEO of Star National Automotive, Alexandria National Automotive and NATCO Group, expressed his elation with Bitterlich’s appointment by stating: “We would like to extend our sincere congratulations by welcoming Mr. Gerd Bitterlich as the new President& CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt. When it comes to the new President& CEO’s praiseworthy career path, Bitterlich certainly was and is still able to attain a comprehensive record of success in achieving ongoing accomplishments. He embarked on his journey, back in 1991, by occupying a myriad of positions pertinent to Sales Controlling, Sales Strategy, and Dealer Development. In 2007, Bitterlich moved to Luxembourg as CFO of Mercedes-Benz’s Retail Operations. It is noteworthy that before joining Mercedes-Benz Egypt, Bitterlich acquired the position of Mercedes-Benz Korea’s CFO, specifically in Seoul.
In fact, NATCO’s partnership with Mercedes-Benz Egypt dates back to 1988, when it became Egypt’s first Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer.
