CAIRO – Iraq’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Qahtan Taha Khalaf reaffirmed his country’s keenness to attract major investments to boost the energy sector and support the national economy.
The remarks came during a meeting at the Iraqi embassy in Cairo with Ahmed El Sewedy, CEO of El Sewedy Electric Group, who was accompanied by a number of board members.
The talks reviewed investment opportunities the company is eyeing in Iraq, along with future energy and infrastructure projects designed to support the country’s development plans.
Sewedy, for his part, expressed the group’s readiness to expand its investments in Iraq and carry out strategic projects serving the interests of both countries.
