CAIRO – Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib said his ministry works to provide a more competitive and attractive investment climate by introducing structural and legislative reforms, simplifying procedures and removing obstacles facing investors.
Khatib made the remarks at a press conference, where he reviewed his ministry’s efforts to attract further investments and boost Egyptian exports to foreign markets.
He said the ministry’s plan is aimed at creating a flexible and stable economic environment that encourages investors to do business amid an investment climate characterized by transparency and competitiveness.
Khatib noted the government focuses in the current period on giving more room for the private sector in achieving economic growth.
The minister stated the government has shaped clear and stimulating policies for investment and trade, which include reducing financial burdens on the investor.
