BUDAPEST – Hungary expects to sign a deal with Russia on additional gas shipments of 700 million cubic meters by the end of summer, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told state radio on Friday.
“We are negotiating with the Russians to buy an additional 700 million cubic meters of gas, this deal can be signed during the summer, and then we will be safe,” he said.
The two countries have been in talks for further supplies on top of an existing long-term supply pact.
