CAIRO – In a statement on Thursday by the SCZone authority, Yehia Zaki, Chairman of the authority, received the German delegation under Martin Herrenknecht, Board Chairman of the German Near and Middle East Business Association (NUMOV).
The German delegation included representatives for German companies that have previously operated in Egypt in the fields of renewable energy and digital transformation as well as representatives for firms visiting Egypt for the first time to explore means of co-operating with SCZone.
Also, a French businessmen team visited the SCZone during the German delegation visit to stand on investment opportunities in the zone.
Zaki welcomed the two delegations, highlighting the deeply-rooted ties binding Egypt with France and Germany.
He said the visit represents an opportunity for enhancing cooperation with the French and German sides, especially in the fields of clean and renewable energy.
He reviewed investment incentives and the legislative facilities offered by the SCZone.
Meanwhile, Martin Herrenknecht expressed happiness over the visit which offered a chance for standing on the SCZone potentials.
Members of the delegation voiced deep interest in ongoing efforts to develop Ain Sokhna port.
