CAIRO – German Ambassador to Egypt Frank Hartmann lauded on Saturday relations between Germany and Egypt, especially in the economic field, and measures taken by the Egyptian government to combat Covid-19.

During a meeting with CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Hartmann expressed his country’s keenness on continued cooperation with Egypt in the coming period.

He added that many German companies are willing to pump new investments or expand their business in Egypt.

For his part, Abdel Wahab said that Egypt seeks to create an attractive atmosphere for foreign investors.

“Egypt attaches great importance to encouraging the private sector,” he said, adding that the authority is in contact with the German companies operating in Egypt on continuous basis.
