CAIRO – The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) said it has contracted, through a global tender, to purchase 180,000 tons of wheat.
The imported wheat will be ready for shipment from April 10 through 25.
In a statement recently, GASC said that the contract comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade to enhance its stocks of basic commodities.
The purchased quantity includes 120,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat and 60,000 tons of Romanian wheat, the authority added.
