Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maeet said on Tuesday that LE2.3 billion was earmarked to the private funds and accounts in governorates during the current year’s budget.
The Finance Ministry said in a statement that the money will be disbursed in quarterly instalment payments to pay the salaries of employees working in these private funds and accounts.
He explained that that LE1.6 billion was secured during the 9 months until March 2023 in a way that helps achieving job security and social stability for workers in private funds and accounts and their families.
