The team work of the Industrial Development Authority received the European Union delegation in the industrial zones of Naga Hammadi and Kalahin-Qift in Qena Governorate on Wednesday to review the government’s achievements in developing the industrial sector and business development in a number of areas of industrial and economic development and its efforts to provide decent job opportunities in the governorates of Upper Egypt .
The visit tackled sustainable industrial development policies in Egypt and Egypt’s experience in Establishment of industrial zones and upgrading of their efficiency and establishment of industrial parks.
This came within the framework of monitoring the business development of the local development program in Upper Egypt, which is being implemented in full cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Local Development, and is funded by the Egyptian government and the World Bank.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Factory reviewed the investors’ point of view towards the progress of business in the industrial zones.
He also lauded the trend towards including and empowering investors in the industrial zones through the representation of the private sector in the boards of directors of the industrial zones, as well as active participation in industrial forums.
He also pointed out to the exerted efforts of the Industrial Development Authority in Quena Governorate in luring investors in the industrial sector.
He also reviewed the executive position of the factory, explaining the ways to benefit from projects to raise the efficiency of the infrastructure of gas, electricity, and communications, which allowed the pumping of large investments into his factory in Qena Governorate.
