Egypt’s trade balance deficit increased to $2.73 billion in February 2024, compared to $2.71 billion in the same month a year ago, according to a monthly bulletin issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.
Exports dropped 4.7%, amounting to $3.36 billion compared to $3.52 billion in February 2023 due to a decrease in the value of exports of some commodities.
The bulletin recorded a decrease in imports by 2.4 per cent, to hit $6.08 billion in February this year against 6.23 billion dollars in the previous year due to a decrease in the value of imports of some commodities.
