CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Al Sayed al-Qusair said Friday that the volume of Egyptian agricultural exports during the period from January 1 till July 27 this year hit 4.1 million tonnes compared with the same period of the previous year.
In a statement released on Friday, the minister said the crises of Russia-Ukraine war and the coronavirus has influenced the international trade and transport movement, causing a shortage of some exports, but the state’s efforts to increase exports of other commodities compensated the shortage and opened new markets.
He extended thanks to the Egyptian farmers and workers as well as the Egypt Agriculture Exports Council along with the trade representative offices and Egyptian embassies abroad over their constructive efforts to up the Egyptian exports and support the national economy.
