CAIRO – Egypt’s Customs Authority head el-Shahat el-Ghtori said that the government has spared no effort to enhance the investment climate through several measures, including digitizing the customs system and developing ports.
El Ghtori’s comments came as he inspected the logistics services center in Cairo, which became operational on April 15, MENA reported.
Digitizing the customs system would ease customs clearance, adding that the one-window system, which is constantly supervised by the Minister of Finance, encourages workers to seek accuracy and develop their performance.
This comes as part of the country’s efforts to develop and modernize the customs systems and encourage the e-commerce.
