CAIRO – The Egyptian garments exports have increased 42 per cent to hit 1.286 billion dollars in the first half of 2022, up from 904 million dollars in the same period last year, the Apparel Export Council said.
In its monthly report, the council said that the clothes exports rose by 37 per cent in the first-six months of 2022 to reach 854 million dollars, against 624 million dollars in the corresponding period last year.
Sportswear also surged 12 per cent to hit 96 million dollars, up from 85 million dollars previously, it added.
