CAIRO – Egypt welcomed Indonesia’s accession to the BRICS bloc as a full member and the country’s desire to participate in all work axes of the bloc to boost cooperation in different domains of mutual concern.
In a statement by the Foreign Ministry, Egypt added that the Republic of Indonesia is also seeking to achieve development for our peoples, as Egypt and friendly Indonesia have rapprochement in positions and viewpoints on several pressing issues on the agenda of the bloc, with special focus on economic, financial, and monetary cooperation.
Egypt asserted that Indonesia’s accession to the bloc is considered an additional bridge to cooperation between the two countries that are enjoying historical and distinguished ties on all official and popular fronts, added the statement.
