CAIRO – Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maait met on Saturday with his UAE counterpart Mohamed bin Hadi al Hussaini on the sidelines of the 2022 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Sharm El-Sheikh, which run on 1-4 June under the theme “Beyond Recovery: Resilience and Sustainability”.

The two sides tackled ways of promoting bilateral cooperation between Egypt and the UAE on all fronts and attracting more UAE investors to Egypt.

They also discussed the latest developments of the global economy in view of the current crisis and the bad impacts of inflation rates on economies of different world countries.

Maait and the UAE official underscored the importance of maximizing efforts aimed at achieving Arab integration to overcome current, global economic challenges.

Maait asserted the state is going ahead with implementing structural reforms during the next Fiscal Year to stimulate local and foreign investments and promote the contributions of the private sector in economic activities.
