Egypt provides Sudan’s Northern State with all goods, services, says governor

KHARTOUM – Governor of Sudan’s Northern State Al Baqir Ahmed Ali said Egypt provides the State with all commodities and services.

In statements to SUNA news agency on Thursday, Baqir stressed the security situation in Merowe town is stable, adding the Sudanese Armed Forces are combing roads and areas in the State.

He stated Sudanese authorities communicate with the Egyptian Consulate General in Port Sudan and the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo to facilitate visa and passport procedures for Sudanese nationals who are stuck at the crossings.
