CAIRO – Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said that Egypt looks forward to a major leap in financial, investment and economic cooperation with Bahrain in order to support the capabilities of the two countries in dealing positively and flexibly with global economic challenges.
This came at a meeting with Minister of Finance and National Economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa in the presence of Bahrain’s Ambassador in Cairo Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal and Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, and their accompanying delegation.
“We will work together to create broader horizons for joint investments and strong partnerships between the private sectors of the two countries in a way that enhances efforts to support economic activities,” he said.
Egypt has diverse and attractive economic opportunities for the private sector in competitive and priority sectors, Kouchouk said, pointing out that many structural reforms have been implemented to support small and large investors within the framework of efforts aimed at increasing private investments in the Egyptian market.
He pointed out that the economic ministerial group in Egypt is working strongly and harmoniously to push forward efforts to create an economic climate that stimulates local and foreign investments and to enhance private sector-led sustainable economic growth.
