CAIRO – ُEgyptian Industry Minister Ahmed Samir has discussed with his Jordanian counterpart Yousef Al Shamali ways to boost economic and trade ties between Egypt and Jordan.
The ministers held a meeting on Thursday on the sidelines of the preparatory meetings of the 32nd session of Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee.
Samir said Cairo and Amman have strong historic and strategic relations, citing the industrial partnership between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq.
The meeting reviewed issues of common interest and discussed means to remove all challenges that may hinder trade exchange between Egypt and Jordan.
For his part, the Jordanian minister accentuated his country’s keenness to cement bilateral co-operation with Egypt in different domains at all levels.
