CAIRO — Egypt’s Ambassador to France Alaa Youssef said Egyptian-French Economic Forum held in Paris and Marseille represented a great opportunity to introduce the private sector to promising opportunities in Egypt in various domains, such as renewable energy, transportation, logistics, health, food industries, and others, in addition to the various advantages and incentives provided by the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
The ambassador said the high-level Egyptian and French participation in the forum reflected the two countries’ keenness to enhance the economic partnership based on mutual benefit and respect.
He added that the forum contributed to highlighting Egypt’s great keenness to provide the best conditions for the foreign private sector by carrying out economic reforms and enacting various laws and legislations aimed at simplifying procedures for foreign investors.
Youssef referred to the opening speech delivered by French Minister of Foreign Trade Sophie Primas, who stressed France’s great interest in strengthening the economic partnership with Egypt in various fields, based on the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries on the political and cultural levels.
