CAIRO – Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, had a meeting with Simon Mordue, Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service (EEAS), to discuss means to enforce a mechanism of investment guarantees worth 1.8 billion euros.
They mulled ways to develop a joint framework between Egypt and the European Union to put the mechanism into effect and stimulate local and foreign investments in fields of common interest.
The minister also followed up on the implementation of agreements of the Egypt-EU investment conference, held in June, and probed means to enhance cooperation with the EU.
Al-Mashat lauded growing Egyptian-EU partnership and fruitful cooperation, voicing keenness to back efforts on achieving economic development and increase investments.
