CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Nivine Gamea asserted on Friday Egypt is possessing important potentials in the engineering industries sector that enables it to compete in both the regional and global markets.
The engineering industries sector is one of the largest export sectors, which achieved a big growth rate in 2021 and contributed to upping the volume of Egyptian exports to 32.3 billion dollars for the first time in the history of the foreign trade of Egypt, added Gamea while participating in a ceremony for awarding distinction prizes in engineering exportation.
The celebration was organized by the Export Council for Engineering Industries.
The distinction awards are one of the best initiatives launched by the Council to encourage Egyptian companies to increases its exports and find more export chances in different markets, along with creating a new generation of creative exporters, Gamea pointed out.
Given the fact the Egyptian engineering industries sector is seeing a big development process qualifying it to compete in foreign markets, according to her.
