-Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat said Egypt is acting to push forward climate action efforts during the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the UN Framework Climate Change Convention as per the outcome of the UN climate conference in Glasgow and other international agreements.
COP27 conference will be hosted by Egypt in Sharm el-Sheikh in November.
The country is as well seeking to stimulate more innovative financing to promote commitments toward mitigation and adaptation efforts against climate change repercussions, added Mashat while attending the World Economic Forum (Davos) Saturday.
Mashat took part in a high-level seminar on the role of development arms of major companies of the private sector and non-profit institutions in moving forward climate action.
In her speech, Mashat underscored the importance of these establishments in boosting climate action and pumping green investments along with making successful partnerships between the public and private sectors.
