Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, Dr Ali el-Ghamrawi, met a delegation from the Veterinaries Syndicate under Dr Magdy Hassan to discuss ways to strengthen joint co-operation and support the veterinary system.

They discussed topics related to the regulation and circulation of veterinary medicines, the control mechanisms for the distribution of medicines, and the importance of monitoring supply chains to prevent any accumulation or shortage of veterinary medicines.
Also, both sides exchanged views on mechanisms to enhance transparency in the veterinary drug market and ensure effective quality.
They stressed the importance of continued coordination and communication to ensure that veterinarians’ needs are met and the veterinary system is developed to support sustainable development and enhance the role of the veterinary sector in the national economy.
The meeting comes in line with EDA’s efforts to strengthen partnerships with various sectors, including professional syndicates, with the aim of improving the drug circulation system and ensuring the continuity of development to serve all parts of the health and veterinary system alike.
