CAIRO – A Bank of Ghana delegation has wrapped up its visit to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), which took place between June 31st – August 3rd, with the aim of exchanging know-how in the field cyber security and utilizing Egypt’s outstanding experience in this domain.
The visit came in the context of promoting cooperation efforts with African countries, according to a statement issued by the CBE.
The visit of Ghana’s delegation highlights the pioneering status of the CBE in the cyber security domain at the level of the African continent, following its successful set up and operation of the Computing Incident Response Team for Egypt’s financial sector (EG-FinCIRT).
Meanwhile, the Ghanaian side was keen on getting first-hand information about Egypt’s technical and operation know-how, with a view to reinforcing the Bank of Ghana Financial Industry Command Security Operations Center (FICSOC).
