CAIRO – The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that the annual headline inflation rate surged by 31.2 percent in January 2023, compared to 24.2 percent in December 2022.
In a statement released recently according to MENA, the bank said the Consumer Price Index recorded a monthly rate of 6.3 percent in January 2023, compared to 0.8 percent in the same month in January 2022 and 2.6 percent in December 2022.
